Spotlight On — Certified WEL-Systems Change Agent™

Our workplaces are filled with stories about change: how it's hard, it takes a long time, you have to start at the top, you need to focus on the 'whole system'. Have you noticed that there really isn't "a system"; that whether you work in the private or public sector our organizations all have one thing in common: they are created and sustained by people.

When you focus on people and assume that they are what makes a difference in organizations, miracles begin to happen. If you are officially mandated as a "change agent" in your organization, or if you are responsible for improving communication, resolving conflicts, or developing teams and you want to be able to create miracles in conjunction with those around you, our WEL-Systems Change Agent™ program is for you.

As a Certified WEL-Systems Change Agent, you will be invited and challenged to consider the critical importance of people to our organizations. You will have opportunities to explore the many myths rampant in today's organizations. You'll discover what the latest scientific research has to offer us in understanding how people operate and why generative (self created) change is such a powerful way to engage people in change initiatives. You'll also be invited to explore your own preferences and biases around the change conversation and discover which approaches work best for you as a Change Agent.

We've created a flexible, modular approach to accessing cutting-edge thinking about change and acquiring models and approaches that make a difference for people …and allow you to grow and discover more about yourself in the process! Becoming a WEL-Systems Change Agent is easy. First you participate in a 2-day "The Power of One" program and then you select from a menu of five optional 1-day programs that span various areas of change: personal change skills, team resourcefulness, communications effectiveness, career self-management and stress management. Its entirely up to your interests and needs which two optional programs you select.

Did you know?

You are the centre of the Universe?

Until a few weeks ago I was comfortable living with the metaphor that I was at the centre of my universe. Then I read a magical little book called The Hidden Heart of the Cosmos: Humanity and the New Story by Brian Swimme and discovered that this wasn't a metaphor and it wasn't just "my" universe. I discovered that science now shows, literally, that each of us is at the centre of the Universe and that everything in the Universe is moving around and away from each of us.

I still have not come anywhere near to reaching a conclusion about what this means for me. However, I do know that this new thought has jangled my perception of how the Universe works. What else don't I know? If each of us is at the centre, is there such a thing as 'the edge'? When I feel like I'm sidelined or at the margins, can that ever be? What paradoxes that life seems to generate will I engage differently knowing that I am always centre?

I Am The Source

I heard the rumble of the earth beneath my feet
Though no quake befell the soil

I felt my effortless fall into the welcoming of my ocean
Though no ocean was present

I heard the roar of the fire, mine, to be transformation
Though no flames could I see

I exalted in my pulsating heart allowing a breath of air to be taken
Though breath was always there, I thought

I noticed then, the song of choice, mine, being sung
Though no discernable sound could I hear

I caught sight of the unmistakable images of me in my moment
Though moments of me had passed unnoticed before

I held close like a baby, the rhythm of my spectacular brilliant light
As it enveloped and became me
Though the God I was taught to fear, had not come to take me, no fear

And now… I know

The earth beneath my feet will offer stability
The ocean in all of its' mass is mine to fall into
Transformation occurs with the igniting of my spirit touching tissue
Each breath I take is my ongoing awakening
The melodic clarity of having choice sings to me always
My moments of now bring the potential of me to be
And the fearless rhythm of my brilliant light is my connection to self

I am The Source, The Source is me!
