Ray's New World
Here are some of the things I'm aware of when I think about the things
you've helped me through, over the years. A story that I read long ago
comes to mind and says it best.

There was this man walking along one day and he fell into this deep,
dark hole. No matter how hard he tried, he just could not seem to get
himself out. Then one day, a doctor walked by, talked to the man and
threw a prescription into the hole. The man tried that - and it didn't
make a difference.
Then along came a psychiatrist. He too, talked to the man and threw
another prescription into the hole. Again, in desperation to get out,
the man tried that too - only to discover that he was still stuck in
that dark hole.
Then one day, along came a woman who heard the man's cries - and
she jumped into the hole. The man said, "Why did you do that!?!?!?
Now we're both stuck down here in this dark hole!" But the woman
said, "No we're not. I"ve been here before and I know the
way out." And she took the man by the hand and showed him the way
out.
It's time for me now, to go along and find the people who need what
you have. I know what a difference it makes and I'm so excited when
I talk to folks about what you do. I feel such joy when I think of all
the people who came to my shop for car repairs and left feeling healed
or with their lives a bit easier to manage in some way.
I also think about all the material things I used to think I owned:
house, cottage, swimming pool, hot tub .. turns out they owned me. I
don't have much today as far as those things go but what I have is so
much more valuable than anything I ever owned. Not just friends but
more than that, my family have become my friends, too.
